About the "Wick" ... ?
The wick is the
"Heart" of the Drip-it Frog watering system. The "Wick"
is a calibrated device that drops water at a determined rate. Without the
"Wick" the Drip-it Frog will not work. The wick is also "fragile" and should
not be bent or twisted in any way. Once the "Wick" is placed inside the
base, it does not have to be removed. Depending on water conditions the
"Wick" will absorb a certain amount of mineral deposit. Simply remove the
wick and rinse in hot water. The "Wick" is not biodegradable therefore it
should not have to be replaced.

What size pot ... ?
The size of the pot
depends mostly on the size of the plant. The Drip-it Frog was designed to
care for indoor plants in pots ranging from 6" to 12" in diameter. The rule
of thumb is to verify the amount of water the plant will need for one
week...and give that same plant 500 ml / 16 ounces (the capacity of the
frog reservoir)
over a two week period. One wick will dispense 500ml / 16 ounces in a two
week period depending on room conditions and soil type. This should be
sufficient for most house plants in addition to regular watering.

Why doesn't it Water... ?
Why doesn't the
Drip-it Frog empty? If the Drip-it Frog is not emptying it could be a number
of different things. 1. check and make sure the "Wick"
is properly inserted into the
base. 2. Make sure the holes in
the
base are not blocked by any soil
or other matter. If the soil is too moist the Drip-it Frog will not have
enough oxygen distributed through the watering system, and will slow down
it's drip rate. This will prevent over watering! Move the Drip-it Frog
around the pot every two weeks to avoid blocking.

Did you know ... ?
Did you know the
Drip-it Frog can also be used as a fertilizing devise? The Drip-it Frog can
also be used to dispense any liquid soluble fertilizer. Simply read the
instructions on your liquid fertilizer packaging and add the required amount
of fertilizer to the Frog reservoir for 500 ml / 16 ounces. The reaction of
the plant is overwhelming! Contact your local nursery for proper use of
fertilizers as uses vary from plant to plant.

Best use ... ?
Use the Drip-it Frog
for your vacation watering. The Drip-it Frog will water for up to two weeks.
First, water your plant thoroughly as you would normally, place the Drip-it
Frog over the roots of the plant, make sure that the Drip-it Frog is level
in the pot or leaning on the side of the pot. If the Drip-it Frog turns on
it's side it will empty itself!
The Drip-it Frog is
ideal for hard to reach areas such as "hanging baskets" or forgetful areas
like the guest room! Mark your calendar two weeks ahead of time as a
reminder to water your plants!!!!
For best results move
the Drip-it Frog around the pot every two weeks.

Emptying too fast... ?
There are a couple of
possibilities why the Drip-it Frog would empty too fast. If the product is
slanted to one side, water will spill over the inside panels of the
base
and the product will empty. The Drip-it Frog has to be level in order
to operate properly. If the Drip-it Frog is in dry soil the drip rate will
increase slightly causing the system to speed up by a couple of days. For
best results water your plant thoroughly before placing the Drip-it Frog in
your plant. If the Drip-it Frog is placed in direct sunlight the pressure
build up inside the frog reservoir will cause the system to speed up
slightly. For best results avoid direct sunlight.
